Brooke Nolan
Happiest under the stars on top of a mountain, Brooke Nolan is a British-born, Aussie-dwelling writer, hiker and pun lover. After a life-long fear of the physical, Brooke discovered the outdoors when – on a complete whim – she booked a four-day trek on the Inca Trail for her 30th birthday.
It changed the course of her life forever, showing her the power of the outdoors and how it can help build confidence, resilience, and alleviate the anxiety she’d suffered with for years. A fear of exercise quickly turned into a love of adventure and since then she’s chased adventure across the globe, moving to Australia with a hiatus in Switzerland.
Brooke’s biggest trip to date was joining an all-female team to cross the Finnmark Plateau, a polar-style crossing in the Arctic Circle, Norway. Brooke skied 250km in 14 days, pulling everything behind her in a pulk and facing wild winds and -30ºC weather. She’s also hiked some of Australia’s most famous hikes including the Great Ocean Walk, the Kangaroo Island Wilderness Trail and Tasmania’s Overland Track, as well as multi-day hikes in Switzerland, France, New Zealand, South Africa and Argentina.
